Knowledge and skill  To get the students revise vocabulary of book 7 by doing 5 activities on their books. 2. Emotion and values  a. To get the students familiar with the three methods of word formation and enlarge their vocabulary.  b. To encourage the students to make their own sentences by using the new words and cultivate students’ confidence in speaking. 3. Cross-cultural awareness:   Understand the development and the word formation, broaden their outlook, and strengthens the consciousness of the different meanings and usages of the vocabulary. 4. Character-building:  a. To enhance students’ ability to generate vocabulary after making sentences. b. To let them know the importance of cooperating with others in a group. Difficulties and importance:   Help the students master the prefix and suffix of derivation. Teaching method:  a. Task-based methodology  b. Lexical chunks teaching method Teaching time: Step 1 Lead-in   Good afternoon, welcome to my class. I hope we can have a good time together.   A famous linguist used to say, “without grammar, very little can be conveyed; without words, nothing can be conveyed.” So we can see the importance of the vocabulary. Today we are going to review the vocabulary of book 7. Now please open your book, turn to page 87. Step 2 Tasks   Activity 1 Make adjectives ending in -ful and/or -less with the nouns in the box.         4    Activity 2 Complete the sentences with the adjectives in Activity 1.      Activity 3 Choose the correct words.  1.
